Restoration has an incredible story crafted by God.  Founded in 1904, the First Church of God, Springfield, began meeting as a group of believers who were determined to have a church, not bound by denomination, but by faith and unity. The First Church of God, made up of families from the surrounding Springfield area, regularly worshiped, served, and met together. In 1969, one group of church members launched another church in the rapidly growing community in South Springfield as Walnut Lawn Church of God, while another group continued meeting on the North side of town as the First Church of God (later called Life Quest). These two churches moved forward, doing ministry in their local communities, until 2017.

In 2017, the two churches (LifeQuest and Walnut Lawn) merged and began meeting together, seeking God's direction as a single community. In January of 2019 we opened our doors and officially began to meet as Restoration Church, located at 910 West Battlefield, Springfield, MO.  Just as we have seen God move in our community over 100 years ago, we see him now calling us to unity and purpose for his Kingdom.
